Department of Justice issued an advance notice of proposed rule-making on Web accessibility this summer. Within a few years, it is expected that the DOJ will issue much more detailed requirements regarding Web accessibility, particularly in regard to access by blind individuals who navigate the Web using screen readers. Such standards could potentially have big impact on organizations such as ours.
