Participate in the Class
Introductions discussion forum by telling us about who you are. It
is important that we establish some early community in the learning group, so
be sure to share some information about why you're interested in ID and what
you do currently.

| Module 02: First Steps: Goals and Objectives |
Read Chapter 2 of ID4T sections on goals and objectives. |
- Select an instructional design project of not more than one hour in
duration. NOTE: Pre and post assessments/testing can be considered within or
outside of that one hour of instruction as you prefer.
- Write ONE single sentence instructional goal and all objectives necessary
for the accomplishment provide feedback for your classmates, and submit to the
discussion forum entitled "Instructional Goal
and Objectives Drafts."
- Using Google Docs, complete your final goal and behavioral objectives, and
paste the link to that document in the dropbox entitled "Goals and Behavioral
Objectives."

| Module 03: Analyzing Student Characteristics and Testing |
Read Chapter 2 of ID4T sections on learner characteristics and tests. |
In Google Docs, complete a student characteristic analysis, to include
instruments administered with your students, and their results, and your final
test items and discussion of test alignment. Paste the link to the document in
the dropbox entitled "Learner
Characteristics and Tests Discussion."

| Module 04: Selecting Materials and Developing Activities |
Read Chapter 2 of ID4T sections on texts and activities. |
- Take the time to post drafts of your materials/text selection and
activities plans in the Text and
Activities Discussion. Be sure to comment on your colleagues' discussion of
materials and activities, as well.
- In Google Docs, complete a student characteristic analysis, to include
instruments administered with your students, and their results, and your final
test items and discussion of test alignment. Paste the link to the document in
the dropbox entitled "Student Characteristics and Tests."
- In Google Docs, complete a text assessment plan, and an activities lesson
plan. Paste the link to the document in the dropbox titled "Text Assessment and
Activities."

| Module 05: Selecting Media and Implementation |
Read Chapter 2 of ID4T sections on media selection and implementation. |
- Post your initial justification discussion/comparison across media
forms to the discussion forum entitled "Media
Selection and Implementation Discussion."
- Post your implementation draft, along with a discussion of what you've
learned through the drafting of the implementation plan, and offer feedback to
your classmates in the discussion forum entitled "Media Selection and
Implementation Discussion."
- In Google Docs, complete a media selection and lesson implementation
document, and paste the document link in the dropbox entitled "Media selection
and Implementation." Indicate which ONE of the media you would select for
your hour of instruction (if you choose to use three, then you'd need nine for
comparison). Outline the ways you will ensure success of your instruction in
it's implementation.
- In Google Docs, post any ORIGINAL materials (if you have any) that
you have developed and paste the link in the "Designed Materials" dropbox.

| Module 06: Revising Instruction |
Read Chapter 2 of ID4T sections on evaluation and revising instruction. |
- Participate in a "formative evaluation" discussion within the discussion
forum entitled "Revising
My Unit."
- In Google Docs, complete plan for collecting data and revising your
instruction, and paste the link to the document in the dropbox entitled "Draft
Plan of Revising Instruction."
- For extra credit, conduct/implement the class (even with friends or family)
and collect data on the trial.

| Module 07: Putting It All Together! |
Read Chapter 3 of ID4T. |
- Participate in the discussion focused on how to use ID4T in the classroom
within the discussion forum entitled "Using ID4T
in My Classroom."
- In Google Docs, create a document that contains the completed instructional
unit and paste the link to that document in the dropbox named "Final
Project."
