Complete the following tasks in order, then take Quiz #1, located in the Lesson 1 Activities folder.

1. Health Knowledge Quiz

   This is a "knowledge probe" designed to help you find out what you already know about health psychology and to pique your curiosity about the field. You will receive immediate feedback on your responses after you have submitted the quiz. You'll probably find some questions easy – but will no doubt be surprised by the answers to others.

2. Pre-course Survey

   This is a brief, four question survey designed to help your instructor get to know you.  You will be assigned to teams based on your responses to this brief survey. You will engage in discussions and work on class assignments with your team throughout the semester. Teams will be assigned by the beginning of Week Two.
   
   Submit the Pre-course Survey under the Lesson 1 Activities folder.
   

3. Read Chapter 1 of Taylor's from your text

   This chapter is an introduction to health psychology. You probably won't have much trouble understanding the material. Additional information to augment the discussion of the biopsychosocial model is provided on the next page.
   

4. Quiz 1
