The Importance of Understanding Your Personality Preferences

1. Read about Personality and Careers
2. Define your personality preferences by completing the Jung Typology Test
3. Learn more about your MBTI Type by reading My MBTI Results and MBTI Basics
4. Under MBTI Basics you will see a chart of the 16 personality types—put your mouse over your type to find out more about your personality type
5. Lastly, read the narrative related to your personality type

When you have completed the inventory take some time to reflect on the results and then post a summary of your findings and thoughts about your results in the “Self Exploration: Personality Preferences Discussion Forum.” In addition, respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings.

In order to prepare for the discussion forum about your personality type, consider the following questions to guide you in framing your post.

1. Can you relate to your profile? Do you think it is accurate?
2. Are you the Doer, Protector, Idealist, Executive? 
3. How do you think knowing about your personality preferences will be helpful in your career?
