Current Events In Marketing
An important aspect of marketing is being aware of the ever-changing demands of the market (i.e. customers) and marketing environment. This can be done in several ways (as you will learn while you explore each lesson). One method that I strongly encourage you to use, is reading about marketing online. To encourage this behavior, you will be tasked to find current articles, blog postings, podcasts, and/or other types of resources (e.g. marketing ads), related to the content we are learning. These articles/artifacts will be shared with the entire class via asynchronous and synchronous discussions.
Marketing Resources on the Web
Here are a few marketing websites. As we start the course, take some time to review them. This list is not exhaustive, if there are others that you would like to explore in addition to this list, feel free.

- Ad Age
- Quirks
- Marketing Week
- Forbes (or specifically, Forbes - On Marketing)
- Entrepreneur - Marketing News and Topics
Note, that all of the resources listed are free. You are not required to pay for any subscription in order to fully engage in this course or complete the assignments. Some sites, like Marketing Quarterly, will require you to complete a subscription process. This is also without charge. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
