Lesson Objectives:
After successful completion of this lesson you should be able to:
- create spreadsheet models using formulas and formatting tools;
- use absolute and relative addressing in cell formulas;
- use the PMT (payment) function for modeling financial transactions;
- distinguish between data and information as well as explain how data becomes information;
- identify the components of a system and an information system--and explain the difference between the two;
- differentiate between efficiency and effectiveness and provide examples of both;
- describe the components of a computer-based information system and the relationships among those components;
- explain what is meant by the information systems architecture.
