As we move on in course dimensions within each of these contexts influence individual's outcomes (especially for children) and needs to be considered as places for intervention in their lives
- Monetary characteristics (e.g., poverty in the family)
- Personnel/structural aspects (e.g., having a single vs. dual parent family )
- Social climate of the context (associational networks, warmth, cohesiveness, support)
- Connections between systems (e.g., how close parents feel connected to children's schools)
Note as we cover the lessons on poverty, neighborhood, and schools pay attention to how each of these same dimensions exert influence.
